Empower your own hypnosis education. Have you ever wondered why some people rave about a certain workshop while others didn’t like it? It all has to do with the frame of reference. This concept is especially applicable to education and learning. Learning hypnosis is no different. Getting yourself into a better frame of mind to learn and absorb the information will only enhance your educational experience. This applies to reading a book, watching training materials, coaching, and attending conferences. Having a framework and a better state of mind will make learning easier. Today, I'm going to discuss the 7 specific strategies that will help anyone become a better hypnosis student.
“The hypnosis pre-talk conditions the client for an even more successful hypnotic experience.”

James Hazlerig is the author of The Little Book of Laughnosis, an excellent tool that uses intentional laughter to effect change in hypnosis clients. He recently launched an online training course on laughnosis and will soon launch a remarkable app that will help people alter the course of their day for the better. James joins me today to discuss the changes he applied to evolve and grow his business. He shares how his background in analyzing stories led him to create simple structures that people can understand and hypnotists can use as a vehicle in effecting change in their work. He also shares the story of how and when he started incorporating laughter techniques in his work and some inspiring stories of clients who have had breakthroughs in their issues as they applied the hypnotic laughter method. “The nice thing is that with really uproarious laughter and a big smile as they visualize going through the situation, again and again, they build that reaction.” - James Hazlerig

Ines Simpson returns to the program today to share the hypnosis tool she discovered called the Simpson Protocol. Ines endured lifelong chronic pain prior to discovering hypnosis. She began experimenting with hypnosis for meditation, practicing every day for a year and by the end of the year, her pain was gone. Through her personal experience and journey with hypnosis, she decided to start her own practice to help others improve their lives. She joins us today to share the history of the Simpson Protocol (SP), the ideal clients and situations for this tool, and how it is used for foundational health. Ines also shares how the protocol is continually evolving as she continues to use it while working with clients, interacting with students, and training others.
“In many of the greats in hypnosis that have passed on, I think that we hang on so dearly to what we created that we don’t let go early enough for it to continue well.” – Ines Simpson

Today’s extraordinary guest, Dr. Dwight Damon, started with an interest in magic as a kid since his parents owned an entertainment agency. He began exploring hypnosis in 1949 and founded the National Guild of Hypnotists in 1950. One of the organization’s legacies is to assist and support beginning hypnotists who are starting to establish their career in the industry. Today, Dr. Dwight talks about his career journey from magic to hypnotism to chiropractic practice and back to hypnotism. He shares the progression of the hypnosis curricula as the years went by, some pieces of advice for new hypnotists seeking to get established in the industry, and the significance of why hypnotists should get out in the community and talk about hypnosis.
“It is sticking with our professionalism. I believe that is the most important thing.” - Dr. Dwight Damon
