When people begin training in hypnosis, they learn certain methodologies and how to do things in a specific way. Students in hypnotherapy are taught that ‘this’ technique is good, and ‘that’ technique is bad. This approach works well as a good confidence-builder in the beginning stages of a career in hypnosis; however, it can create a mindset of absolutes, and believing that there is only one way to do things becomes a sticking point later. He has been studying hypnosis for 40 years and training for 25 years in Accelerated Change Techniques. He became interested in hypnosis at the age of 13 and learned some of the basics from his grandfather as well as by transcribing self-help hypnosis cassettes to learn inductions. Barry started his career working for the Ford Motor Company before working in sales roles in the 80s once again sparked his interest in NLP techniques. He has since become a Master Hypnotist and has taught hundreds of students across the world.

Michele survived something truly horrific at the age of 13 and experienced undiagnosed PTSD for 30 years. During these years, she experienced multiple body and mind conditions and underwent years of therapy. She recognized that her trauma was an addiction and found trauma release through hypnotherapy. This created a passion for writing about her experiences and ultimately led to a career in hypnosis. Michele has an MFA from the University of Vermont and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
