Imagine there is a spinning wheel right in the center of your chest, and I want you to speed it right up. Make it go really fast.

When it's going really fast, I want you now to see that you have the ability to drag that wheel out from your chest. Now it's going to be a few inches in front of you. Do that now. Now you've got this wheel spinning like crazy in front of you. In a moment, I'll say the word flip. When I do, imagine you can flip the wheel over. Ready? One, two, three, flip.

Now I want you to give that wheel a different color, a nice calm, tranquil color, something that just works perfectly for you. Now I'd like you to see you can bring that wheel back into your chest, back into the same spot. In a moment, I'm going to say the word break. When I do, imagine you have a beautiful big handbrake and you can slow that wheel down. Ready? One, two, three, break. Just slowing it down, slowing it down, slowing it down. Before it comes to a complete stop, you can open your eyes.”

The Dave Elman Induction is a hypnotic process developed by Dave Elman. This technique is famous for its method called pyramiding. It is a process where you stack several hypnotic inductions - one on top of the other - to provide multiple hypnotic experiences within three to four minutes to get a desired result.

In this episode, I’m going to share how to troubleshoot the Dave Elman Induction and explain how I do it inside my hypnotic sessions. I discuss the different phases of the technique as well as share actionable strategies you can use during your hypnotic sessions. Craig Sigl is currently a mental trainer who works with coaches, athletes, performers, and those who want to use mental toughness for their personal lives. He also trains people how to hypnotically work with athletes and performers.

 

Craig Sigl is a former Fortune 500 manager and was an undersized athlete all his life. Surprised by the effectivity of something he was taught about playing golf, Craig eventually created a course called Break 80 Without Practice.
